Year after year, Laboratorios Viñas walks the solidarity path. We are proud to be one of the longest-standing pharmaceutical companies in our country, a benchmark in research, development, manufacturing and marketing of pharmaceutical products, medical devices and cosmetics.
Laboratorios Viñas is firmly committed to society to offer products of the highest quality. To do this, our proposal and values strive for excellence in health, innovation, quality, ethics, social commitment and sustainability.
We work to ensure that more and more people around the world have access to the healthcare and treatment they need. We are committed to continuing to connect the world through health and solidarity.
Once again this year, we have participated in the Humanitarian and Emergency Aid Fund (HEAF) managed by Farmamundi, which supplies essential medication, food and healthcare for victims of humanitarian crises and natural disasters.
We have collaborated with UNHCR, the Red Cross and Farmamundi to assist with the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, helping displaced people, helping to improve the mental health of those affected by the war and assisting thousands of Ukrainian families arriving in Spain.
In cooperation with Cáritas, we continue to help people in situations of social exclusion.
Throughout 2023, we participated in 25 projects, promoted by 14 organisations, together with which we have developed actions on the ground that have had an impact in 24 countries, thus helping to improve the quality of life of thousands of people.
Once again this year, we have participated in the Humanitarian and Emergency Aid Fund (HEAF), managed by Farmamundi, which supplies essential medication, food and healthcare for victims of humanitarian crises and natural disasters.
We collaborated with UNHCR and Farmamundi in the earthquake emergency in Turkey and Syria, helping affected families and contributing to improving the mental health of internally displaced people.
In cooperation with Cáritas, we continue to help people in situations of social exclusion.
Thanks to the commitments we have made with the other organisations with which we collaborate, we managed to:
- Offer food to the most vulnerable through the Fundación Banco de Alimentos.
- Helping to carry out, together with the Fundació Tècnica i Humanisme, key activities in the fight against cancer.
- Support social and research projects in collaboration with Magic Line by Sant Joan de Déu.
- Promote female talent with the Fundación Esclerosis Múltiple through professional reorientation.
- Support young people in vulnerable situations through the Travesía Social Solidaria Pirineos.
- Contribute, with Amref Health Africa, to improving maternal and neonatal health in Zambia.
- Help in the solidarity work of the Spanish Society of Primary Care Doctors (SEMERGEN) in Cameroon.
- Promote the role of women around the world through OXFAM Intermon.
- Helping to eradicate scabies in Malawi with the Fundación Piel Sana.
- Improve, with the Spanish Society of Outpatient Paediatrics and Primary Care (SEPEAP), nutrition and child health in Honduras.
- To guarantee, together with Sonrisas de Bombay, the right to education for pre-school children in India.
The fight against climate change is a social commitment and a task for everyone. At Laboratorios Viñas we focus our actions on the future in order to move ever closer to the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
To this end, we are working to implement policies and strategies that minimise our environmental footprint. These measures take the form of:
- Reducing of the environmental impact of our processes and products.
- Optimising resource consumption.
- Raising consumer awareness of the correct management of pharmaceutical product waste and packaging.
- At our Rubí facilities, implementing an environmental management system based on the UNE-EN-ISO 14001:2015 standard. You can see the environmental policy here.
- Installation of 770 solar panels at the Can Rosés factory in Rubí, which will prevent the annual emission of more than 252 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere.
We work together with our suppliers to protect the environment and comply with applicable environmental requirements.
Implementing measures to respect the environment is another way of taking care of our surroundings. Taking care of people's health is Laboratorios Viñas' objective, and this involves taking care of the environment by being respectful and sustainable for the planet.
