PAN-REUMOL, rehabilitating thermal bath for hands and feet

09-02-2017

Pain and stiffness condition quality of life. When they appear persistently, they reduce our mobility and affect our state of mind. There are many rheumatoid conditions and it is the doctor who should establish a precise diagnosis. However, when we talk about joint pain we are normally referring to arthritis or osteoarthritis. Although these two processes are different, they present in a similar way, causing pain and stiffness in the joints, as well of loss of flexibility, especially in the most mobile ones such as your hands and feet.

Pan-Reumol, Balneotherapy in your hands

When faced with this type of situations, complementary measures are a good idea for a natural approach to functional limitation without negatively impacting other aspects of our health. Prestigious organisations such as the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) and the Osteoarthritis Research Society International (OARSI) recommend balneotherapy and the local application of heat, methods that have proven their effectiveness in joint pain.

The Pan-Reumol thermal bath by Laboratorios Viñas combines both of the above measures. On the one hand, it delivers the efficacy of active ingredients such as magnesium sulphate and extracts of lime flower, marigold and camomile which, dissolved in hot water, revitalise your hands. On the other hand, the beneficial power of its enveloping warmth provides you with a pleasant feeling of well-being. This is a strategy you can put into action at home, and it is a more convenient, effective and economical alternative to paraffin baths. Moreover, it is the ideal complement for the anti-rheumatic and restorative treatment of the hands and feet.

Fast and simple application

- Choose a wide recipient in which your hands or feet fit, and fill it with two or three litres of hot water (between 37º and 41ºC).

- Add a capful of Pan-Reumol bath and stir to mix well.

- Submerge your hands or feet slowly in the mixture. When they have been in the water for two or three minutes, rub your hands together slowly and continue gradually until it has become a gentle massage.

To obtain the maximum benefit from the bath formulas properties it should be used twice a day, when you get up in the morning and before bedtime, for at least ten consecutive days.

It is highly recommended that you round off the bath with the application of Fisioreumol, the massage cream with arnica and components comparable to Pan-Reumol by Laboratorios Viñas, which extends the benefits of the bath and improves joint flexibility and extension.

PAN-REUMOL comes in a bottle containing 200 ml.

For your hands

  1. Clench your fist, keeping your thumb out. Hold it for a few seconds and then open out your hand as much as you can. Repeat several times.
  2. Form an “O” by bringing the tips of your thumb and index finger together. Hold this position for 3 seconds and then stretch your hand out. Repeat the same process with your middle, ring and little fingers, stretching out your fingers after each “O”.
  3. Place your hand on a flat surface and lift your fingers up one by one, keeping them raised for a few seconds. Repeat several times.

For your feet

  1. Place a can of frozen soft drink under the sole of your foot and roll it back and forward several times without letting it reach your heel.
  2. With your heel resting firmly on the floor, hold your toes with the palm of your hand and pull upwards. Repeat several times.
  3. With the sole of your foot on the floor, hold your big toe and pull upwards while trying to bend your toe downwards. Do the same exercise in the opposite way: press your big toe against the floor with your hands while pushing your toe upwards, as if trying to lift it off the floor.
